A picnic at the end of the world

From my Notes app today on a walk in to town…

We’re having a picnic at the end of the world

Who will bring honey?

I heard there was a beekeeper in remote scotland

Maybe he’ll come

I’d like to have honey on bread

though it might make me sick

And I’ll bring words

and love.

Will that be enough?

I heard the last sparrow sing yesterday.

Bring your own

We’re having a picnic at the end of the world,

be sure you’re there.

Bring your blanket.

I hear there is a beekeeper

in the highlands,

there might be honey.

We’ll try to make bread.

A friend of a friend

is bringing water for all.

I am going to bring words,

and love.

It’s all I’ve got left.
